Persons doing business in the Town of Newtown under a name other than their own must file a trade name certificate in the Town Clerk’s office. The cost for filing is $5.00. Trade Name Certificate Application.
Corporations, LLC and partnerships are required to register with the Secretary of State, Economic Development Department 1-800-392-2122, or www.sots.state.ct.us.
