IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VOTERS FOR 2012

*  The last date to change party affiliation to vote in Republican Primary is January 24th 2012.

* Unaffiliated voters have until April 23rd 2012
      until noon to change their party.

* Primary date is April 24th 2012. 
This will be for republicans only, in your own district.

* Referendum date is also April 24th 2012. 
This will be held in the Middle school gym.

* Our annual election which will be the Presidential election will take place
November 6th at your individual polling place.


     * All elections, primarys and referendums are from 6a.m-8p.m.




The Registrars office protects the voting rights of all Newtown residents.  We maintain on a continuing basis a list of all voters including new voters.  We also obtain and train election workers and we insure the proper maintenance of voting machines.  We conduct an annual canvass to insure the accuracy of our voting lists.
