Enjoy the convenience, flexibility, and rewards of credit card payments for taxes or fees. In cooperation with the Town of Newtown, Point and Pay, offers individuals and businesses the opportunity to pay taxes or fees by telephone or directly over the Internet.
PROVEN SAFE AND RELIABLE
This service is safe, reliable and in accordance with all state and government regulations. In order to process your payment, Point and Pay, the credit card service provider, charges a nominal convenience fee based on the amount of the transaction.
EASY PAYMENT VIA PHONE (8am to 10pm M-F) OR INTERNET
The system will:
Tell you the total of your payment including the appropriate fee
Obtain approval of the charge
Issue an onscreen confirmation number and a printable digital receipt. Confirmation is emailed to users who request it. The charge will also appear on your credit card statement: the tax amount on one line, the convenience fee amount on a separate line.
Bill Lookup/Pay Online
For the convenience of the taxpayer, the Tax Collector has a service agreement with Point & Pay to accept tax payments (including credit & debit card payments) and to look up your tax bill.

Please note: If you are making a partial payment(s), you need to pay the full amount due on the bill and add it to the shopping cart. When done, go to the shopping cart (located at the top of the screen in the Bill(s) section), and select "checkout". Then select the "pay now" option, select "edit" and enter the amount of the partial payment(s) (bill by bill). Then complete the customer cardholder, and payment information and continue until the transaction is complete.
