Programs and Events:
- Pre-show Receptions – Jennifer Johnston stated that the September Pre-show Reception was well attended by advanced ticket-holders. It was agreed that the NCAC would not sponsor another pre-show reception until the season finale of the Flagpole Radio Café in May 2012. Jennifer Johnston proposed offering the room to other arts organizations, such as SCAN, for the November, February, and March shows. Martin Blanco informed NCAC members that the Alexandria Room is not available on the evening of the December show. Jennifer Johnston asked about the email list that was collected. She wants to make sure the contacts are added to the arts news subscriber list.
- Flagpole Radio Café – Martin Blanco will submit an updated financial report to the NCAC Treasurer in the coming days. Martin reported that the attendance was good at the September show. He also stated that the challenge grant was received. Rob Kaiser asked about the Town Hall banner. Martin believed another banner was in the works and would most likely be up for the November show. Rob Kaiser will follow-up with Mary Fellows. Martin will submit documentation to Jennifer Johnston regarding the trademark matter attorney’s fees.
- Arts Festival – Jennifer and Donna provided an update. At this time, news is going out about the art contest. We are also asking the arts community to spread the word and save the date. Martin Blanco and Donna Mangiafico will meet with the Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday October 4th at 8 AM. Martin Blanco also spoke to a representative of Charter Communications. They indicated that an advertising trade was a possibility.
Jennifer Johnston reported that the grants process is on hold until we receive feedback from Robert Tait and David Grogins.
Jennifer Johnston will look into website support based on a reference from Liz Stocker. Rob Kaiser will update the link to the arts newsletter and the arts festival slideshow. Jennifer Rogers asked that any new website allow blog entries.
