The Newtown Police Department would like to remind all residents and business owners that it is time to complete your annual alarm registration.  Renewal applications can be found on the Police Department website on the Records Division page and are due July 1st (http://www.newtown-ct.gov/records-department/pages/alarm-system-registration).

“No alarm user shall operate, or cause to be operated, an alarm system at its alarm site without a valid alarm registration.” “Effective immediately upon the enactment of this chapter, as amended, every alarm user shall apply for registration in accordance with this chapter, even if the alarm user has previously obtained alarm registration” (11/2016).
