Helping in our community
Police Cadets Helping with Toys for Tots

The Newtown Police Cadets have a long standing reputation of developing the youth of our community through a hands on approach toward learning about the law enforcement profession. Through police and civilian advisors, the cadets are introduced to law enforcement by classroom instruction and practical demonstrations.

In addition to learning about police work, the post attempts to develop the individual by challenging them to perform and meet the high standards of the post.

In our effort to develop the individual we hope to:
  • Instill self respect as well as respect for others

  • Develop leadership skills
  • Promote citizenship and community service
