Make a difference this summer and secure a rewarding position while you enjoy the outdoors. The Parks and Recreation Department will be accepting applications for the following summer positions from December 15th to March 12th, 2010.
Cannot be responsible for Mail Delays.
Applications for certified positions must have copies of all certifications attached.

Day Camp Counselor—Must be 16 years old by June 30th (NO Exceptions).
Teen Adventure Camp Counselor (Formerly Middle School Camp Counselor)—Must be 17 years old by June 30th. (NO Exceptions)
Grade 5 & 6 Camp Counselor - Must be 17 years of age.           
Volunteer Counselor—in- Training MUST have completed the 9th grade. (NO Exceptions)
Lifeguards-must have current Red Cross Lifeguard training certification.
Water Safety Instructors-must have current Red Cross Certification.
Park Rangers—Must be 18 years old and hold a valid CT drivers license.
Gate Attendants-Must be at least 15 years old for Treadwell Pool; Must be 18 years old by May 29, 2010 for Eichler's Cove/Lake Lillinonah.

Site Director-for Grade 5 & 6 Camp, Teen Adventure Camp or Day Camp - Must be over 21 yearts of age. Must be able to oversee daily operations of camp, with the ability to plan & lead activities for children. To train, supervise & evaluate counselors and CITs. Maintain good public relations with campers, parents and other staff members and general public. Enforce all camp rules. To assure campers have fun.  And more!
