Master Plan-June Planning Charrette

On June 19th and 20th of 2002, informational and planning workshops were held at the Newtown Middle School. Information on existing conditions at the Fairfield Hill Campus were presented and discussed and residents were given an opportunity to ask questions and to participate in a “hands-on” visioning process, resulting in the following series of Team Plans. The following links provide access to Charrette materials.

Master Plan: On-Going Analysis

Since the completion of the June Planning Charrettes, the Ad Hoc Fairfield Hills Master Plan Committee has considered a series of alternatives for the future Newtown Town Hall and seven athletic playing fields, to be located on the Fairfield Hills Campus. The Committee is also considering additional uses for their potential inclusion in the Fairfield Hills Master Plan, including, educational facilities, community facilities, housing, open space, trails, and economic development uses, including retail and office uses. It should be clearly understood that these materials, studies and concepts have been prepared by the consultant team for discussion with the Ad Hoc Committee and the public. As such, this material should not be considered to be consultant proposals or final plans. Information considered by the Ad Hoc Fairfield Hills Master Plan Committee in this ongoing planning process can be accessed through the following link:
