Alarm Registration/Annual Renewals

The Town of Newtown is committed to the reduction of false alarms.  This initiative has prompted Town Officials to update the Town Ordinance, “Alarm Systems”.  The updates of this ordinance encourage alarm system users to maintain their alarm systems, keep updated alarm user contact information and to be educated in the operation of their alarm system. 

The Newtown Police Department with the assistance of our Town IT Department has created an online registration/renewal application.  Also incorporated in this process is the ability of users to pay for their registrations/renewals online, saving time for our residents and business owners (see attached press release for full details).
