Pistol Permits

HOW TO OBTAIN A STATE PISTOL PERMIT:

- In order to obtain a State Pistol Permit you must first obtain a Temporary State Permit from the town you reside in.  Therefore, Newtown residents must apply to the Newtown Police Department. 

- You will need a completed pistol permit application and all of the required paperwork including fingerprints.

- Applications are available at the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection website or are available at the Newtown Police Records Department.
