OUR 31ST HEALTH FAIR WILL BE OCTOBER 10, 2026
The Health Fair Planning Committee is excited to announce its 31st Health Fair, to be held at the Newtown Community Center on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 9 AM to 12 noon.
Health Fair organizers, Donna Culbert, Dr. Della Schmid, Donna Monteleone, Matt Ariniello, Natalie Griffith, Maureen Crick-Owen, Dyllin Cappiello, Joseph Young, and Neil Chaudhary are encouraging community members to come out - and bring the family.
The Fair’s concept remains to make available a multitude of FREE HEALTH AND WELLNESS SERVICES to Newtowners and friends of all ages.
For any organization with a vital interest in both the public health and wellness of our residents, we invite you to join us as a planner, participant and/or sponsor. Your efforts, however small or large, will help make Newtown a safer and healthier community in which to live and work.

It’s a terrific venue with lots of room for our many exhibitors, activities, and health screenings. This event is focused on the health and wellness of our community, and we are looking forward to seeing residents come out to this year’s Health Fair.
This year organizers are grateful for the opportunity to team up with the U.S. Dept. of Veterans
Affairs to offer a variety of veteran-specific services, in addition to offering free health
screenings, free information and guidance, and loads of free give-aways. Donna Monteleone
confirmed ”Any veteran, regardless of where they live - in any town or state, can come to the
Health Fair and sign up with the VA, they need to bring their DD-214 or their discharge
papers.”
Residents can drop by for a quick visit or stay for as long as they like.
There are numerous free drawings, gift certificates to many local restaurants, and promotions
from many of our local businesses.
Some of the activities include:
● The VA will have numerous resources for VA benefits, services and health care
questions. Veterans from any town or state can sign up with the VA
● Car seat safety check, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Newtown
● Trusted health partners from the Housatonic Valley Health District will be providing FLU SHOTS — bring your insurance card.
● More exhibitors are applying and we welcome them.

In addition, we’d like to remind you that the Health Fair is a free event; as always, there should be no selling of products or services or solicitation for donations. You are welcome to share your agency’s or company’s info for such purposes for future follow-up opportunities.
