The Newtown Health District serves the towns of Bridgewater, Newtown and Roxbury. The Health District works closely with its communities' partners and has developed strong and cooperative relationships; this allows staff to work in towns who value local public health.
Newtown Health District is looking for a motivated and experienced Environmental Health Professional to join our team! Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is detailed oriented, and has good organizational skills. Proficiency with the MS Office suite is preferred. We welcome applications from candidates who have the minimum certifications and experience for any of the following job descriptions: Health Inspector; Assistant Sanitarian or Senior Sanitarian. This is a full-time, 37.5 hour work week, position based in Newtown with a comprehensive benefits package. Salaries will be commensurate with experience and certifications.
