Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Newtown, ct, January 21, 2017: On 01/19/2017 at approx. 3pm Newtown Emergency Communications received a 911 call reporting a motorcycle accident on Mt.Pleasant (Route25) in the area of Reservoir Rd.
Police responded, with Newtown Hook & Ladder, and Newtown Ambulance. Upon officers arrival they found a heavily damaged motorcycle in the southbound lane of Mt.Pleasant and the operator of this motorcycle was located down the embankment of the southbound shoulder. Paramedics that arrived on scene determined that the operator was deceased due to the extent of his injuries suffered in the crash.
The Newtown Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating. The name of the deceased is Michael Defusco, age 42, of Southbury,CT. Defusco was operating a 2011 Harley Street Glide at the time of the crash.
